History

Importance

The name of the shrine was derived from the Telugu terms 'Koru' meaning desire, and 'Konda'", Meaning Mountain. This makes it an appealing mountain or place in which God takes the demands of His followers instantly and fulfills their wishes.

The main idol in this shrine the most important idol here is Narasimha Swamy. Narasimha Swamy is known by the term 'Satvika' Narasimha' since Narasimha is always together with his wife, Lakshmidevi, at the shrine.

In the village, there are two shrines which are dedicated to Lord Narasimha. The first is located on a mountain that is a couple of kilometers from the main village. The other shrine is located on what is a mountain that is smaller in comparison to the hills around it. The one shrine is self-contained, it was constructed by hand or built.

Architecture
