Charles Walker Posnett stayed once in Medak during his visit. Nearly 200 Christians pray in the slant houses for Jesus. He saw this and decided to build a new church. It was completed in 1924. He thanked God for giving this church to his devotees. After discovering it was larger than Charminar, Nizam king tried to shrink the size of this church.

Architecture:

Medak Cathedral was inspired by the Gothic style. The main tower of the church is 175 feet tall and can hold nearly 5000 people. Through its large, pointed stained glass window, the Bible's story is told in different colors. Only sunlight can see it. The church's roof is made from a hollow sponge material and is soundproof.

Each window contains stains that explain different stories about Jesus. The main window tells the story of Jesus' birth, Angels, and Mary. Each part of the church tells a story about its paintings. The mosaic tiles used in the flooring were imported from England.
